A CT slice is a single, two-dimensional (2D) cross-sectional image representing a specific internal plane of an object. Unlike conventional X-ray images, which show overlapping structures, a CT slice allows for the inspection of internal features without physical cutting or destruction. These slices are derived from a three-dimensional (3D) volume, computationally reconstructed from X-ray projection data acquired from multiple angles.
