A full scan is a standard data acquisition method in Computed Tomography (CT) where projection data is collected over a complete 360-degree rotation of the sample.
Also referred to as a "normal scan," this method captures comprehensive data for reconstruction, typically resulting in superior image quality with reduced noise. It is often compared to a "half scan," which accelerates the process by rotating only 180 degrees plus the X-ray fan angle, but may sacrifice some data redundancy.
