Tomography is an imaging technique used to visualize cross-sectional images, or "slices," of an object by processing projection data acquired from multiple angles. When computer algorithms are used to reconstruct these images, the process is known as Computed Tomography (CT).
Although X-ray tomography is the most prevalent form in industrial and medical applications, the underlying principle applies to other signal types, including ultrasound, terahertz waves, and electrical capacitance.
