A tomogram is a reconstructed cross-sectional image, or "slice," of an object's internal structure. Unlike standard 2D radiography, which captures superimposed layers, a tomogram isolates a specific plane using computational algorithms. By stacking a series of these cross-sectional images, a complete three-dimensional (3D) volumetric dataset is generated for detailed inspection and analysis.
