Cone-beam CT (CBCT) is a computed tomography technique that uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to acquire volumetric data from an object. The transmitted X-rays are captured by a flat panel detector, and the resulting projection data is computationally reconstructed into a 3D image. While this method allows for rapid data acquisition, it is susceptible to specific image distortions known as cone-beam artifacts.
