Monitor magnification refers to the final magnification ratio of an X-ray image displayed on a screen relative to the actual object size. It represents the total system magnification, which is the product of the geometric magnification and the electrical or digital display ratio.
In modern X-ray inspection systems, images can be digitally imported and freely scaled on a computer. Consequently, monitor magnification is variable and depends on the monitor size, resolution, and digital zoom settings, rather than being a fixed specification.
