  1. POWER ON/OFF switch: This has priority over all operations.
  2. High voltage ON/OFF switch:
Output is enable when this is ON. External output can be turned ON/OFF only when high voltage switch is ON. This switch is also used for resetting interlock and cut off mode.
  3. COARSE potentiometer (10-turn, lockable)
  4. FINE potentiometer (10-turn, lockable)
  5. Overload trip level setting dial: 1-turn LED is lit up when the protection circuit is operating.
  6. GND terminal(M6)
  7. AC inlet
  8. FUSE
  9. OUTPUT connector (Matsusada precision's property)

REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTOR M4

External output ON/OFF *

REMOTE SWITCH ON/OFF | Matsusada Precision
Output External relay Open collector
ON Short VCE ≤ 0.4 V
OFF Open VCE ≥ 2 V

Sink current ≥ 10 mA

Output control

OUTPUT CONTROL | Matsusada Precision
Output voltage LR Vcon
0 to MAX R2
0 to 5 kΩ
0 to 10 V
Input imp ≥ 10 kΩ

Enabled: External relay closed (Short) or TTL Low (VCE ≤ 0.4 V).
Disabled: External relay open (Open) or TTL High (VCE ≥ 2 V).
Note: To resume output after a cutoff (Open or High state), turn the OUTPUT switch OFF, ensure the remote condition is reset (Short or Low), and then turn the OUTPUT switch ON again. * With the -LG option: When the switch (12) is set to IEEE-488, remote switch and output control via the connector are disabled; control is only possible via the digital interface.

Interlock

Output is possible in external relay short or a status of VCE less than 0.4 V.
Output will be cut off when open or 2 V or more. To output again, turn the OUTPUT switch ON after resetting by turning the OUTPUT switch OFF in a status of short or 0.4 V or less. * -LG option: When the switch (12) is on the IEEE-488 side, the remote switch and output control are not enabled from a remote terminal but from only the IEEE-488 operation.

Sink current ≥ 10 mA

Output monitor BNC receptacle *

  • Vout: 0 to ±10 V(0 to +10 V)
    • [standard] Monitor polarity equals output polarity
    • [-LG option] Positive polarity regardless of high voltage polarity.
  • Iout: 0 to +10 V

Output impedance is 1 kΩ. * -LG option: Generates output no matter whether a switch (12) is on or off.

Accessories

Optical communication

Optical isolation adapters, utilize fiber optic cables for digital communication, which enables extremely reliable communication even in noisy environments such as in factories and for long-distance control. By using optical fibers, they are electrically isolated, so safe operation is possible even in power supply configurations with potential differences.

Application Control of high-voltage power supplies via LAN, USB, RS-232C, RS-485, or GPIB.
Connection Using fiber optical cables, the adapter for each interface is connected to CO-HV units. With the dedicated control cable, the CO-HV units are connected to a high-voltage power supply AE series.
Number of units Up to 32 pairs with CO-HV units and high-voltage power supplies are available. With GPIB, by setting the address, you can connect a maximum of 448 high-voltage power supply units (14 addresses x 32 units).
Features The communication system is well suited for such situations where there is a distance between the computer and the high-voltage power supply or noisy environments. Also, it is especially ideal for use in combination with DC power supplies. The standard cable length is 2 meters, and it can be optionally extended up to 40 meters.
