High Stability and Low Ripple Noise
Most PMTs have 9 to 10 dynode stages, and the anode's output gain is proportional to the applied voltage raised to a high power (often the 10th power). This means that even slight fluctuations in the applied voltage are amplified in the PMT's output. Therefore, high stability, low ripple noise, and excellent temperature coefficients are indispensable characteristics for a power supply module to ensure a clean and clear output signal.
High Power Output
To improve the output linearity of a PMT, a sufficient current must be supplied to its voltage divider circuit. A power supply module with higher output power is therefore required to maintain a stable gain. Matsusada Precision's PMT power supply modules have a maximum 5 W output. Higher output power is ideal when powering multiple PMTs.
