Realize various control motions with simple action

PSS2en is the dedicated automatic control software that can actuate high-voltage power supplies, DC power supplies, Bipolar power supplies, AC power sources, electronic loads, and digital controller for power supplies manufactured by Matsusada Precision with a simple setup. This software makes it easy to configure complex and detailed control settings, monitor during execution, and log data on a windows computer. Multiple units and different types of power supplies and electronic loads can be linked and controlled, making it suitable for all kinds of testing. It is perfect for the aging test, the burn-in test, the Dielectric Breakdown Testing for electronic parts, the endurance test, intermittent/continuous operation test, or various simulation tests for electric components of the automobile.

  • As mentioned above, PSS2en has many lineups according to the combination of power supplies and electronic loads. Regarding CD to install PSS2en, it is the same as "PSS2en-ALL" regardless of which lineup is ordered. Users can control power supplies and electric loads using a USB key with a license function for performing only operations in accordance with the lineup ordered.

You can actuate two DC power supplies of R4K-36 series and R4K-80 series at the same time by issuing two types of PSS2en license for PSS2en-R4K36 and PSS2en-R4K80.

You can actuate two DC power supplies of RK-80 series and RK-80 series and DC electronic load of EGD series, at the same time by issuing three type of PSS2en license for PSS2en-RK80, PSS2en-RK, and PSS2en-EGD.

Operation mode

Constant Output (All models are available.)

It acts at a constant voltage and constant current. In case of electronic load, it is constant-resistance mode, in case of AC power sources or bipolar power supply, it is the mode un-changed setting value like as constant frequency.

Users can operate power supplies and electronic loads under a fixed-parameter level.

Software sequential output function (PSS2-DCPS, PSS2-DCEL, PSS2-ACPS, PSS2-HVPS, PSS2-GP, PSS2en-AMP is available.)

It changes action of our product concerned, feeding continuously setting value from computer. Various programs can be set up to 999 steps according to parameters and operation patterns. There may be a time lag between the time the command is sent from the computer and the time the power supply actually operates.

Hardware sequential output function (DC power supply is available.)

Pulse pattern and pulse ramp pattern of DC power supply provided optional (*) pulse ramp pattern can be set.

* For more information on these options, please refer to the individual datasheets for each power supply.

It is usable to combine pulse action and ramp action. If combine multi-set function, it is also possible to actuate program action by using voltage and current value set in memories a, b and c.
It is possible to set repeat count and of course continuous operation. It is available in various aspects as it is able to change slowly up and down voltage and current up to the three set values and also repeatable it.

Momentary power interruption operating mode

(Only when AC power sources with -LPfl option are connected by PSS2en-DRS or PSS2en-DRJ)

Function with instantaneous interruption time can be set for AC power sources in DRS series or DRJ series with -Lpfl option.

Output current integration mode

(Only when DC power supplies with -LIc option are connected by models included in PSS2en-DCPS)

Integrated current value during sequential control operation can be monitored on DC power supplies equipped with -LIc option. (Up to 100 Ah) Also, the integrated current maximum value can be set as the stop condition of the sequential control operation.
It is very useful for purposes such as the management of plating solutions. For more details on these options, please refer to each datasheet of power supplies.

1. Set-up test sequence

Make-up test conditions like as setting the power Supplies, control action and so on. Number of settable program pattern is max. 16, it is possible to set various test conditions fitted the target like as selection of the operation mode and setting of any protection function, etc.

It is possible to test sequence each group setup. On the operation display, it is possible to monitor on the one screen required information like as a program, the status of the thermostatic chamber and the power supply, and voltage/current at testing. Also when execute in parallel plural group, it is possible to monitor these status together.

3. Confirmation of Measured Data

It is possible the test data completed. It is possible to confirm the value of each test sequence, the individual graph or all items showed in one graph. Also, it is possible to output measured data with CSV style and then to sum up or analyze them with the spreadsheet software.

Direct Control Function

It is possible to control the objective components directly to be controlled, such as power supplies. Various controls are possible on one screen, such as Output ON/OFF, Change in setting parameters such as voltage, the record of output value, confirmation of status, etc. Since multiple power supplies can be controlled on one screen and individual parameters can be set, it can be used for various applications.

* Models included in PSS2en-ACPS and PSS2en-AMP are not available for control of multiple units.

Different types of interfaces

Automatic control operation is possible at each communication port, such as LAN port, USB (TMC) port and RS-485 by equipping the power supplies with -LMi option. It is possible to select the interface according to the usage status and the application of power supplies.

  • Installation of VISA (Virtual Instrument Software Architecture) Library necessary to use each communication port.
    VISA library is the standard specification of measuring instrument connection software developed by the IVI Foundation.
    PSS2en has been performed operation verification with National Instrument NI-VISA(Ver5.4).
  • For power supplies that can be equipped with -LMi option, please cc our sales staff.
    When using LAN or USB(TMC) port in -LMi option models, I data can be recorded at a minimum of 0.1-second intervals per power supply.
    In other cases, minimum interval can be set for 0.5 seconds.
