Efficient features for simple evaluations of large rechargeable batteries

CDPU series is a DC battery cycle tester that enables 200 W to 1250 W large capacity charge and discharge by one unit.
Liquid crystal 5-digit meter that enables correct setting and reading of I/O voltage and current values, dedicated software*
that collectively controls charge-discharge operation and various measurements, and battery temperature detection function by thermistor can simplify the single cell evaluation test for Large-capacity battery for HEV, PHV, EV, and PEV whose demand is especially growing in recent years. Even if multiple cells are connected in series, the data of charge and discharge to/from each cell, voltage, current, and temperature data for each cell can be obtained (up to 250 V).
This series is optimum for charge-discharge evaluation test for various rechargeable batteries such as lithium-ion battery, fuel battery, nickel hydride battery, and lead battery, and electric double layer capacitor.

Three charge modes

Constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) charge

By setting both of current value and voltage value, the output exceeding the value you set can be disabled.

The charge is carried out at the current value you set. Even if the terminal voltage changes during charge, constant current can be passed.

The charge is carried out at the voltage value you set. Even if the charge current changes, constant voltage can be applied.

Charge completion condition setting

Setting of time

The time can be set up to 999 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds by one second unit. If the time reaches the setting time, the charge is completed.

Setting of voltage

Set the voltage value to complete the charge. If the terminal voltage of battery reaches the setting value, the charge is completed (only at constant current charge).

Setting of current

Set the current to complete the charge. If the current that is passed to battery reaches the setting value, the charge is completed (only at constant voltage charge).

Setting of-ΔV

For some batteries, the voltage increases when the charge is completed, and then the voltage decreases to complete the charge. The voltage reduction value at that time is measured and the charge is completed if the voltage decreases by -ΔV you set.

Setting of temperature Coming soon

When the external temperature, the discharge is completed. (External temperature protection is disabled when this setting is made.)

The discharge is carried out at the resistance value you set. The value of terminal voltage is measured and the current value for discharge is decided according to the setting value.

Setting of time

Battery temperature detection function

The temperature of a battery is measured by thermistor.
If the temperature becomes abnormal, charge and discharge are stopped in an urgent manner to protect the battery.

Master/slave

ⒶCO-M cable
two-meter cable is provided in each unit without interface option.
If you need a longer cable, please consult with our sales staff.

Master/slave

It is used to connect independent rechargeable batteries to each CDPU and perform the same control.
However, current increase by parallel connection is not possible.

* This is not a function for parallelly connected power supplies to give out average output current.

Master/slave

It has to hook with each same model in the same series in master/slave.
Master/slave function can only be effective with standard digital interface.

Software for remote control "CD-BC" (Attachment)*

CD-BC is dedicated software for remote-controlling our company's battery cycle tester. It realizes ideal power supply control when you carry out charge-discharge test for various rechargeable batteries such as lithium-ion battery. It enables setting of test conditions, execution of test, confirmation of test status, and display and save of test result.

* Standard equipment is only controlling one channel version. If you want to control multiple channels, you need to purchase the CD-BC-512 ch.
