High Power 1500W of Electronic Load is Realized
EHHD Series The EHHD series is optimized for faster CV (Constant Voltage) response. It is ideal for motor evaluation testing, effectively protecting peripheral equipment by smoothly sinking regenerative current from the motor.
FEATURES

- Four Operation Modes: Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Current (CC),
Constant Resistance (CR), and Constant Power (CP). - Scalability: Supports digital control of up to 24 kW (Standard) or 48 kW (with -LGob option).
- Optimized Performance: Low sink current when the load is off.
- Fast Response: High-speed CV response model available (EHHD series).
4 modes of Discharge
Constant Current (CC) Mode
Current flows at the set value. The EHD series maintains stable load current even if the terminal voltage fluctuates during discharge.
Constant Voltage (CV) Mode
Voltage is maintained at the set value. The operating voltage remains fixed even if the terminal current varies during discharge.
Constant Resistance (CR) Mode
Current flows according to the set resistance value. The system measures terminal voltage and automatically adjusts the discharge current to maintain the specified resistance.
Constant Power (CP) Mode
Power consumption is maintained at the set value. The load current is automatically adjusted in response to voltage changes to keep power dissipation constant.

It is able to evaluate motors without damages on ECU and the power supply by sinking current regenerated by the motor with EHD/EHHD series in combination with our DC power supply REK series, etc.

- Time from current beginning to flow after the input voltage was beyond a set point. (Time until actual input voltage is stabilized is affected by testing power supply and impedance of wiring.)
- When the potential difference of input voltage and set voltage is more than 3 V. (When it is operated alone)
Functions
Digital Interface
Digital control via USB, LAN, RS-232C and RS-485 is possible. It is applicable as one electronic load of high power by hooking a maximum of 16 units (24 kW) of EHD/EHHD.
Adapters (sold separately)
To use the digital interface, you need to prepare a digital interface adapter separately. The following interface adapters are available according to the communication method of your controller port.
- CO-E32m: Adapter for LAN

A two-meter cable is provided in each unit without an interface option.
If you need a longer cable, please consult with our sales staff.
- In case it is presumed to be utilized under any particular environment, option -LGob (optical interface) is required.
- In order to high power without a computer, please utilize the master-slave control shown as the right illustration.
Master/Slave
By using the dedicated cable for Master-slave Control "EHD-MS cable", length of 0.55 m, sold separately), it is able to control maximum 4 slave unites with one master unit.

Optical Interface Board
This option provides isolated control via optical communication. By using optical fiber for perfect insulation, it prevents malfunctions caused by transient phenomena such as lightning surges or external noise.
(Note: Standard digital interface is not included with this option.) -

Select the optional optical interface board (-LGob) when using this DC Electronic Load under the following conditions.
- Noisy environment including factories (Example: Motors or coils are used near power supplies and loads).
- Using with high voltage floating (more than 250 V).
- Installation distance of 2 meters or more between this DC Electronic Load and a controller such as a computer, laptop, or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
How to Order
When ordering, add Option No. to Model No. in alphabetical order followed by the input voltage.
