The CO/USB series is a line of digital interface adapters controlled by a computer, laptop, or programmable logic controller (PLC) for Matsusada Precision's DC power supplies, high voltage power supplies, AC power supplies, bipolar power supplies, and electronic loads. These products are ideal for enabling multifunctional and high-precision automatic inspection systems, 24/7 production lines, and various system equipment using power supply devices.
The interface adapters enable automation and labor-saving in manufacturing processes, accelerate research and development, and also contribute to improving safety and reliability. In addition to high-resolution 16-bit (1/65535) control, it is equipped with various functions such as readback and status, making it suitable for various applications such as R&D that require high accuracy, quality testing that requires constant monitoring of power supply status and manufacturing processes.
Optical isolation adapters, such as USB-OPT, CO-E32, CO-OPT2-9, etc., utilize fiber optic cables for digital communication, which enables extremely reliable communication even in noisy environments such as in factories and for long-distance control. By using optical fibers, they are electrically isolated, so safe operation is possible even in power supply configurations with potential differences. In addition, all models are designed to be ultra-compact, palm-sized, and can be installed anywhere. By using them in combination with Matsusada Precision's compact and lightweight power supplies and electronic loads, you can further take advantage of their space-saving features.

CE marking (low voltage directive)
The product is designed to be installed in the customer's system and so as to meet the requirements of CE marking regarding chassis mounting, noise control, proper protections, and isolated devices. It is not designed to perform alone.
We also have a lineup of dedicated software, "PSS2", which enables sequence operation of various power supplies and CO/USB series manufactured by Matsusada Precision Inc. with a simple setup.

Models
OPTICAL ISOLATION ADAPTER
With optical communication, isolation control is performed. As complete isolation is provided by optical fiber, it can protect the unit against transients caused by surges, inductive lightning, external noise, etc.
- Extremely safe operation is possible since there is no upper limit to the breakdown voltage theoretically.
- Stable communication is possible even in an overly noise environment.

The optical adapter use is recommended under the following environment.
- Noisy environments such as factories (Example: Motors or coils are used near power supplies and loads)
- When there is a possibility of arcing or output short circuit.

This digital conversion adapter provides a digital control system for high-voltage power supplies that only have analog control.
Digital communication is based on optical communication with high isolation performance, so it can be used for control over long distances.

Optional program SWEEP CONTROL
This program is used to gradually change the output of DC power supplies and high voltage power supplies that can be controlled by our power supply digital controller CO-HV series. Any settings are provided for the voltage/current values when the output starts and reaches, and after the output starts. Following that, the output is activated accordingly.
It is very convenient for such applications like transformation process of the capacitor, aging of electronic components and burn-in testing of semi-conductor etc. where it is necessary to repeat the output by changing the output gently and a decided pattern.

- Each voltage value and each current value can be set individually.
