DRK series are versatile, well-regulated AC power sources realized compact size fitting into a 19-inch rack size of 4U, even though a high power model of 4 kVA.
We have succeeded in downsizing, weight saving, and efficiency improving large and heavy traditional AC power sources realizing high-quality output equivalent to ones of linear amplifier system by adopting our proprietary switching amplifier system.
Their compact design, versatile functions, and reliable operation make them ideal for development and production line inspection.

Peak Current
These AC power sources can deliver peak currents
corresponding to a crest factor of up to 4,
making them suitable for capacitive loads.
NOTE
DRK series are not applicable to such application that electric power is infused externally or regeneration behavior is made.
Therefore they are not suitable for such devices that “returning generated electric power to AC line” or “being connected directly to the grid-connected power system”.
Please make AC output in combination with our
high speed four-quadrant bipolar power supplies and such devices.
Functions
New Function Software Calculated Remote Sensing (at -LSn option)
It is possible to calculate differences between the set value of output voltage and the voltage drop in the load end by the resistance of the output line and compensate for it. (Automatic Gain Control)
New Function Cut-Off Function to Protect The Load and Limiting Function to Withstand Inrush Current
There are various kinds of electrical devices that operate with AC voltage, and they may be required to stop immediately when abnormal current flows, or to continue to operate with some overcurrent. DRK series can set such behavior as necessary.
Cut-off function
It stops the AC output safely when abnormal current flows into the load.
Limiting function
The DRK series provides this function, which ensures continuous operation by adjusting the output to within the rated current, even when connected to loads with high inrush currents, such as motors.
Refined and Simplified Operability
The ability to quickly recall commonly used functions or output settings enhances work efficiency. For the application utilized in the same settings, as the latest settings are memorized, it is able to eliminate troublesome re-settings.
In case that several test patterns are repeated (for example, 90 V to 100 V to 110 V, 50 Hz/60 Hz), testing time is shortened very much by using the memory function.
Light, Compact and Space-Saving
Significantly more compact than traditional AC power sources, the DRK series is well suited for factories and laboratories where space is limited.

External control is equipped as standard. They are applicable to the automation of production lines immediately as it is able to control remotely output ON/OFF, voltage, frequency, and ranges. And LAN, RS-232C, RS-485, and GPIB are applicable by option.

3-phase output, 1-phase 3-wire output, and master-slave hooking are applicable by options.
Also, they are applicable as a simple power supply by cancellation of option settings.
3-phase output (OPTION)
It is possible to test and evaluate 3-phase AC even where only 1-phase 200 Vac or 100 Vac is available
Single-phase 3-wire output (OPTION)
It is possible to test and evaluate single-phase 3-wire even where only a single phase is available.
Master-slave (OPTION)
When the larger power supply is required, a maximum of 8 kVA is available with the master-slave hooking. (Master unit: one, Slave units: 3)

Optical communication offers insulation control. It is to prevent malfunctions such as transient phenomena caused by surge, lightning induction, and exogenous noise.

Single phase 3-wire connection

The momentary power interruption test function is available separately. Please consult our sales staff for details.
- These options should be selected either one.
- This option cannot be installed together with options for single phase 3-wire connection (-L1p3wm, -L1p3ws) or options for (-LPhu, -LPhv, -LPhw).
- DRK4k is not available.
- (-L1p3wm or –L1p3ws), (-LPhu, -LPhv or -LPhw), and (-LMsm or -LMss), these options are should be selected either one. An option is required for each power supply.
- When interface options (-LUS1, -LGb and -LGob) is applied, only the master unit (-L1p3wm, -LPhu or -LMsm) should be optioned. No option is required on slave units.

When ordering, add Option No. in the following order by alphabet, and input voltage to Model No.
