Automatic test equipment (ATE) or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is a system that automates the testing of mainly electronic equipment and devices. It is constructed by combining measuring instruments such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes with a power supply. The system operates the inspection program in a PC or PLC, and controls the measuring instruments by digital signals such as LAN, USB, and GP-IB.
