Updated: 2021/3/2

We would like to inform you that we have decided upon the following plan of response to the "Inappropriate Listing as UL Certified of Resin Materials Made by Kyocera Corporation," which we announced on February 1, 2021.

Through consultation with the UL certification body, we have confirmed that there is no obstacle to continuation of the certification of the UL certified products listed in our catalog. In addition, we have conducted various reliability tests and electrical tests on products using such resin materials, and have confirmed that there are no problems with their function or performance.
Meanwhile, Kyocera Corporation reported that the actual value of the resin materials has been confirmed through a third party testing organization designated by UL.

So far, we have not received any reports of accidents caused by the resin materials at this time, nor have we experienced any serious problems such as fires caused by our products containing the resin materials although it is more than 30 years since we adopted the resin materials for use in our products.
On the other hand, we are considering changing the resin materials, and currently, we implement the selection and evaluation of new resin materials. We will announce again as soon as the changing procedure is completed.

For those of our customers who are in agreement with the above, we will resume shipments of our products bearing the UL and CE marks.

The UL and CE marks are also valid for our products that are currently in the possession of our customers or that are already in use by end users, etc. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our sales representatives.

We apologize once again to all concerned for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
