The accessory ground plate is not required if the power supply chassis is already securely connected to Protective Earth (PE).
For safe operation and stable performance, the power supply chassis must be grounded. The ground plate is provided as an auxiliary connection method to facilitate grounding in installations where direct chassis grounding is difficult.
