To minimize output ripple from a power supply, use output cables that are as short and thick (larger diameter) as possible. Shorter, thicker cables have lower impedance, which helps minimize noise pickup and reduces additional ripple generated by the cable itself.
Additionally, operate the power supply away from common sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI), such as computers, mobile phones, and other electronic devices. Proximity to these sources can induce noise in the power supply and output cables, increasing the overall output ripple.
To facilitate this, select models from our "CN series" high-voltage cables are available in custom lengths.
