RS-232C/RS-485 interface: Metal/Optical RS-232C module and Metal/Optical RS-485 module

With the metal connection, metal RS-232C module offers to expand RS-232C connectivity providing a metal serial bus that a computer with a single RS-232C port can control multiple programmable units. The metal serial bus is consisted with up to 32 programmable units in a daisy chain configuration. Metal RS-485 module is also available for an RS-485 port.

With the Optical connection, optical RS-232C module takes advantage of the expandability, in addition, offers much safer connectivity providing a complete electrical isolation to protect your data and equipments in measurement and data acquisition system (DAQ) from damages by means of discharge, surge and so on. Optical RS-485 module is also available for an RS-485 port.

• A computer with a single serial port, either RS-232C or RS485, can control up to 32 control units.
• A modular cable is included with RK series and -LGmb option of RK-80 series.

Note

• A computer with a single serial port, either RS-232C or RS485, can control up to 32 control units.
• An optical fiber cable is included with a control unit.
• A control cable is included with a control unit ordered together with a power supply.
• A built-in option featuring optical interface is available; -LGob option for RE, RF and RK series.
